Answer
is
Raavan and his heads
Raavan the antagonist of Ramayana is perhaps the most talented of villains. The ten heads are supposed to represent 6 sashtras and 4 Vedas. In the Jain version, his mother was supposed to have given him a necklace with 9 shiny beads that reflected his head. Whilst there is another view that they are metaphorical representations of his qualities/talents/vices. He gave each of his heads in sacrifice during his penance. And he was supposed to have plucked one of his head out, and using the nerves, strung out to play his Rudra Veena. He was supposed to have composed the Rudra tandav stotram, and a treatise on Astrology. He was so learned that he is considered worthy of worship by the Jains, except for his weakness for sita, for which he went to hell.
