The waking of Kumbakarna

Brother of Ravana, renowned for his sleep and appetite, was felled by Rama. A thousand elephants were supposed to have walked over him before he woke up ! He is considered to be the incarnation of Vijaya, a dwarapalaka (gate-keeper) to Vaikunta.
